We are doing the "happy dance" once again! Skip has completed chemo with minimal side effects and is more than half way through with radiation. Due to the area that is being zapped, he is now experiencing some pain and discomfort while swallowing. He still has a good appetite, but now he doesn't look forward to chowing down like he used to. He has lost a couple of pounds-not altogether a bad thing-but generally feels fine. We are counting the days until March 4th when radiation is over and he has a 4-6 week break before surgery. Also, the weather is warming up and he will be able to play a little golf pretty soon. The doctor told him not to "rip it" because of the port that's in his chest just below his collar bone. His golf buddies have offered to take care of driving the ball for him and he can do all the shorter shots. Lord knows, he needs some practice on his short game!
As for me, I attended the Regional Creative Memories convention held here in Columbia this past weekend. Look out! I am recharged and ready to reboot my business. We have so many beautiful solutions for photos and memories and I am passionate about getting people to record them for future generations. That's why I'm typing right now!
So, dear ones, thank you for all the prayers and happy thoughts and keep them coming!
